Recently I came across a nice and inspirational book called (Who Moved My Cheese) and I wanted to share with you my thoughts about the book and how amusing would it be for you to go and buy such a book.
When I read this book it was and still an inspiration for me, the best thing about it, is the simplicity of the story that has the great meaning and value behind it, in another words it’s an inspiring and amazing way to handle change in your life and career and anything else.
Who Moved My Cheese is a symbolic story with a deep and moral meaning about the change in life, it’s an enlightening story about four characters that lives in a maze and the characters are: two mice are named Sniff and Scurry, which resembles to (Sniff : Who sniffs out change early, Scurry: Who scurries into action).
And two little people (Hem: Who denies and resists change as he fears it will lead to something worse) and (Haw: Who learns to adapt in time when he sees changing can lead to something better).
The Cheese resembles to whatever goals you want to reach and achieve wither in your life or your work.
The Maze resembles to the environment that you are trying to achieve your goals in, your firm, family and community.
The four character of this story are faced with multiple changes and one of these two teams who get finally the idea of change and deals with it successfully.
This story makes you thinks why we had always thought that a change would lead to something worse, instead of thinking that it might lead to better and greater things than what we have now, it makes you realize that change could lead to something better and the quicker you let go of the old cheese, the sooner you find new cheese.
Understanding the change would lead you to new believe which will be encouraging new behaviors, when you change what you believe, you change what you do, you can believe that a change will harm you and resist it. Or you can believe that finding New Cheese will help you and then embrace the change, and by noticing small changes early helps you adapt to the bigger changes that are to come.
What will make you change? This is a very important question for you to ask to yourself, you will realize that you will start to change as soon as you have learned to laugh at yourself, your fears and at what you had been doing wrong. You will realize the fastest way to change is to laugh at your own folly—then you can let go and quickly move on.
